A Fall Tradition…family portraits

My good friend and neighbors Dale and Rachel with their daughters Katie and Amanda have had me photography their family portraits every year for as long as I can remember.  I’ll have to ask Rachel the next time I see to find out the first year we started this tradition.  The Schultz’s send holiday greeting cards out to about 1500 of their closest friends every year!  How does that compare with your list?!  There is a reason for this huge number, Dale is a State Senator.

This years photo was taken at their country farm east of Richland Center were Dales dad lives.  Dale and the family have turned the farm into a sanctuary for all sorts of wildlife and it’s almost a open air zoo when you go there to visit.  Every type of Wisconsin animals and birds can be seen when you take a tour of the place.  Dale has taken a painstakenly sentive approach in developing the farm over the years and it’s quite a place to visit.  This family portrait was taken in the fall and shows off several of the nature plants and flowers that come to life this time of year.  You’ll notice the red flower, that’s a cardinal flower and is very pretty and appropriate to Wisconsin.

Oh, that’s Boomer in the photo as well.  He’s a great dog and actually authors the Christmas letter that is sent with the photo greeting card.

We’re still offering reduced prices for family portraits through the holidays so if you’ve been waiting for the right time to have your families portrait taken be sure to call us at 647-8180.
